Pickard's Children of Mexico "Regina" Limited Edition Collector Plate

This absolutely gorgeous limited edition collector plate is the third in a series of four produced by Pickard China Company for the series, Children of Mexico. Each of the four plates were limited to an edition of 5,000, and issued about six months apart. The artist is Sanchez, a distinguished Mexican artist, who was fascinated by the baroque portrait styles of the 17th and 18th centuries. This particular plate is entitled Regina and depicts a beautiful little girl dressed in pantaloons and a lovely blue dress holding her doll. The rim border has an embossed 24K gold detail hand applied with a fine camel hair brush. The 10.25" plate is in excellent condition with no damage and comes with its original presentation box and booklet. It is number 2212 of 5000, and was issued in 1982. All four plates in the series are available in separate listings in my shop. They would make a stunning display in any home.
