Harmony Kingdom Treasure Jest NetsUKe Waddles the Duck

The UK based Harmony Kingdom began making the Treasure Jest boxes in the early 1990's. They have quickly become highly collectible. The boxes are intricate carvings by master artists made of crushed marble and resin to resemble antique ivory. In 1999 and 2000, the Treasure Jest series was expanded to include solid figurines which were produced resembling the ancient art of highly detailed miniature figurines called netsuke. The British version is spelled NetsUKe to emphasize the United Kingdom origins. Waddles the duck was carved by master carver Peter Calvesbert in 1999 for release on 1/1/2000. The dimensions of the piece are 1.26 x 1.77 x 2.36 inches. The model number is TJNDU. Waddles is referenced in the 9th edition Price Guide to Contemporary Collectibles and Limited editions by Mary L. Sieber. Excellent condition, but no box available.
