Royal Copley was produced between 1942 and 1957 by the Spaulding China Company of Sebring, Ohio. This unmarked Royal Copley planter or vase features raised heads of a doe nuzzling her fawn on one side. The piece has all over crazing common on Royal Copley items and what appears to be a seam mark on the top which does not affect its charm or function in any way. The seam mark is not a crack but actually feels raised - probably an area that was not smoothed off enough in manufacture. There is a tiny flake and crack in the paint (not the vase) on the rear leg. The piece measures 6.25" tall, 5.5" wide and 3.75" deep from the back to front with the raised figures.
