What a wonderful old pitcher! This beauty was produced by Southern Potteries about 1945 for their Blue Ridge dinnerware line. The style of the shape is called "Grace." These pitchers were made in several solid colors. The one offered here has a dark green (with a hint of blue) wash of paint which allows the beige to show through on the raised leaf and flower pattern. Other than overall crazing, there is no damage. The piece is unmarked which was common with many Blue Ridge pieces. It is shown in pink in "Southern Potteries Inc. Blue Ridge Dinnerware An Illustrated Value Guide" by Betty and Bill Newbound. The pitcher stands about 6.25" tall to top of the spout. The fullest part of the body is about 5.5" in diameter. What an incredible piece to add to your Blue Ridge collection!
