This beautiful transferware pattern is entitled Tonquin and has been produced by many companies over the years. Alfred Meakin of Staffordshire, England, produced this pattern between the 1930's to 1971 when the company was merged with Myott. The back stamp states "a hand engraved pattern applied under the glaze detergent proof." The bread plates are in beautiful condition with no damage except for an occasional very light utensil mark visible when tilted under bright light. They measure about 6.5" in diameter. Price is for one plate.
