Alfred Meakin Red Transferware Tonquin Dinner Plate

This beautiful transferware pattern is entitled Tonquin and has been produced by many companies over the years. Alfred Meakin of Staffordshire, England, produced this pattern between the 1930's to 1971 when the company was merged with Myott. The back stamp states "a hand engraved pattern applied under the glaze detergent proof." The plates are in beautiful, gently used condition with a few light utensil marks in the center visible when tilted under bright light. Otherwise, no damage. Three dinner plates are available. Price is for one plate.
