This beautiful porcelain hair receiver bears the blue Royal Bayreuth backstamp, circa 1902. The roses are in shades of yellow, peach, orange and white on a soft creamy matte background. The leaves are painted in shades of green and grey. The three leaf feet as well as the rims are painted with gold (probably 22K or 24K). Beside the backstamp on the base is the number 17 stamped in gold. The number seven is stamped on the underside of the lid. This beautiful old piece has only one tiny flaw - a small vertical crack on the opening of the lid which appears to have formed during firing. I have shown it in the photos. The receiver stands about 2.75" tall and is about 4.5" wide.
