Fine Carved Shell Cameo Demeter

Demeter, in Latin Ceres, the Goddess of the Corn, a daughter of Cronus and Rhea. This is so thin and fine that the edges wore away and it had to be set into a custom frame. You can literally read through the background it is so fine. Measures 1 5/8 by 1 3/8 inches. Frame is a rose gold color, most likely an overlay.
