This is elegant and beautifully designed. It is French, 18 karat gold and interspersed with pearls.
In France it is called a "draperie" as it delicately drapes the neckline. Five chains with carefully placed pearls are joined on either side by a medallion of fine gold cannetille. Two chains then connect to the clasp. I love the balance and delicacy of the pearls.
This is so easily worn causally or for a special evening. It measures 15 1/4 inches (the top chain.) The other chains then drape the neckline. It is understated elegance.
It weighs 12.4 grams.
