This French, emerald and sapphire uniquely designed ring has a maker’s for Christine Escher. It also has a French guarantee stamp(head of an eagle) for 18 karat gold.
Christine Escher designed for Van Cleef and Arpels in the late 20th century. It was designed in polished wood and gold. She also had her own line of jewelry and designed for private clients. This singularly beautiful ring was
a custom design. Her maker's mark is a starfish with the letter C to the left and an E on the right.
This ring has a natural emerald in a step/ cushion cut. It weighs 1.12 carats and has a magnificent color. It has sapphires on either side, one is .18 carats and the other is .22 carats.
The sculptural shape and setting are very beautiful, as is the combination of colored gemstones.
It weighs an impressive 7.1 grams and is a size 6.5 US.
Superb and timeless design.
