Germany, c. 1890-1910 Here's a sweet all bisque doll with her original pale blond mohair wig in long braids. She is wire strung and her bisque is painted pale pink. She has blue slippers, white ribbed stockings and painted green garters. Her eyes are painted blue and she has peachy cheeks and lips. She has a chubby body with dimpled knees. She has an open dome head marked on the back: 95 or 93 and 2J. I haven't been able to locate the mark in my books, but feel she may be a product of the Hertwig factory. She has two chips on her torso above the right leg front and back, a tiny chip on top of the left leg. There is also a ding on her nose and a line on her chin. These were all done in the making process since they are painted over – so they are manufacturing flaws. She was found in an old cotton pouch inside a Hahn & Co, Newark box. She's a cute doll and a good size to be able to make clothing to fit her. US Shipping Only.
