Keystone - Complete 48-Card Series "World War Through The Stereoscope"

The Keystone View Company, Meadville, Pa, was founded in 1892 by B. Lloyd Singley. Stereographs consist of two nearly identical photographs or photo-mechanical prints to produce the illusion of a single three-dimensional image when viewed through a stereoscope. This rare and complete 48-card set depicts scenes of World War I. It was produced in 1921. The cards are stamped on the reverse with position number box, the series number 36-48-100-200-300, subject title and complete story behind the photo subject. The cards are in excellent condition with no folds, tears or water stains. They are enclosed in the original book-cover lid; the bottom of the box is missing. It is difficult to locate individual cards and this is a complete card series of 48 cards.
