The Duxer Porzellan Manufacture was established by E Eichler in 1860. Located in what is now Duchcov, Czechoslovakia, the area was known as Dux, Bohemia, until WWI. This lovely figurine, circa 1990's, is of a blue-eyed, dark-haired beauty attired in a strapless cobalt blue and white gown decorated with blue floral with gold leaves and trim. Though knelling, she is 7" tall and her gown measures 9" across. Hand-painted and finished in both matt and high glaze for a very wonderful effect. Marked with gold foil label "Royal Dux Bohemia" , stamped "Royal Dux Bohemia - 1853 - Hand Painted - Made in Czech Republic" and "93 - 55", impressed "93 - 34 - 23", also applied small pink triangle insignia. There are no cracks, chips, or repairs on this item.
