Alfred Meakin Blue Transfer "Clifton" Gravy/Sauce Boat

The Alfred Meakin, Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries, Tunstall, Staffordshsire was established in 1875. This lovely blue transfer gravy/sauce boat in the "Clifton" pattern is circa 1891 - 1897. The word "Ltd" was added to the mark after this period. The flowers resemble zinnias or chrysanthemums and are a striking slate-blue color. The boat is 8 inches in length with scalloped edge, handle and bowl decor. The mark is a crown and "Clifton, Royal Semi-Porcelain, Alfred Meakin, England". There are no cracks, chips, nicks or repairs.
