Hand painted china is so beautiful rather done by factory decorators or skilled individuals in a studio atmosphere. During the late 1800's and early 1900's this became a favorite hobby of many American ladies who would purchase china blanks from various companies and create their own works of art. This pair of candlesticks are decorated with sprays of delicate floral in shades of soft pastel blue and white against a muted background of light blue and cream with gold highlights. The china blanks are marked P L - Limoges - France. They stand 5 1/4" tall and the bases are 2 7/8" square. There are no cracks, chips or repairs on this pair. Unfortunately the artist forgot to sign this lovely pair.
