Blue Ridge "Palace" Flat Shell BonBon
Blue Ridge dinnerware was produced by Southern Potteries of Erwin, Tennessee, from the late 1930's until 1956 in twelve basic styles and two thousand different patterns, all of which were hand decorated under the glaze. This flat shell bonbon dish is the "Palace" pattern; composed of wild rose flowers/buds in deep pink and blue lily-of-the-valley, accented by multi-colored leaves and a black border. It measures 9 1/4" across and has no cracks, chips, nicks or repairs. The mark is Blue Ridge China - Hand Painted Under-glaze - Southern Potteries, Inc. - Made in U.S.A. I have two of these bonbons available for sale. One piece has the additional mark of Bounthy Bonbon #1. The pair may be purchased for $100. Both are lovely pieces for use or display.
