Gustave Vogt (1849-1937) partnered with Emilus Tressemanes in the early 1880's. In 1891 they purchased two small porcelain factories and produced high quality white-ware and factory decorated items for export to the USA. This lovely factory studio, hand-painted cabinet plate is decorated in a flowering motif. The decoration consists of a central branch of shaded purplish rose, deep pink and white blossoms among golden tan, gray and shaded green leaves. The floral and leaves are outlined and veined in gold. A medium width scalloped gold border with aqua inter border completes the color pallet. It is artist signed "luc".
The plate measures 8 3/8" across and is stamped in green with the Tressemanes & Vogt porcelain company mark "T & V Limoges France", circa 1892-1907 as well as their purple decorator mark of a banner and bell "Hand Painted Limoges T&V", circa 1907-1919. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; some minor marks on the gold trim.
