Andrea by Sadek "Eastern Bluebird" Porcelain Sculpture

Andrea by Sadek, also known as the Charles Sadek Import Company, New Rochelle, New York, was founded in 1936 by Charles and Norma Sadek. Today, son Jim, his wife and his sister Andrea, who is the name-sake of the company, are in charge of management.

This lovely eastern bluebird sculpture is hand-crafted in bisque porcelain. The wonderful details are matt painted in shaded dark, medium and light blue, gray and orange-red. The bluebird, with wings out, is landing on a large medium brown branch adorned with pastel pink blossoms and green leaves. The figure is 7 1/8" in height and 6" in length. The branch is impressed "Andrea" and the base is stamped "6303 Andrea" and also has the original foil label "Andrea by Sadek - Made in Japan". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; original box is unavailable.
