The Tiffin Glass Company was founded in 1889 by A.J. Beatty in Tiffin, Ohio. Tiffin glass was billed as "America's Prestige Crystal" and was advertised as being "within reach of the limited budget". At one time the output of Tiffin was double that of A.H. Heisey and Cambridge. Production ceased in 1983.
This lovely set of goblets is the "Cherokee Rose" pattern #17403, circa 1941-1966. The motif consists of panels and cartouches of etched roses interspersed with other floral. The graceful ribbed stem is decorated with bands of beads. The pattern has many characteristics of the "June Night" pattern and will work together to create a beautiful table setting. The water goblets stand 8 1/8" in height and measure 3 3/4" across the top and hold 9 ounces. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Other items in this pattern are in my store.
