Early American Pressed Glass "Plume" Pattern Compote w/Scalloped Rim

The "Plume" pressed glass pattern was manufactured by Adams & Company, Pittsburgh, in 1874, and by United States Glass Company from 1891-1898. Pattern design has both horizontal and vertical plumes. Made in non-flint, clear; some items are found in frosted or ruby stained.

This lovely open compote on a high standard has a gently scalloped rim. It measures 7 1/2" across and 6" in height. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; old pattern glass may have factory flaws and inclusions in the glass.
