Set of 6 Schumann Bavaria "Rhineland" Pattern Individual Candy/Nut Baskets

The Schumann factory was established by CArl Schumann in Arzberg, Bavaria, Germany in 1881 and continued in business until 1994.

This lovely set of 6 individual candy or nut baskets is the Rhineland pattern. They measure 3 3/4" in length and 2 1/4" in width and 3/4" in depth. The fully reticulated sides flare to a gently scalloped rim, a cut handle at each end and are trimmed in gold. The centers each have a grouping of various spring floral in striking shades of rose, purple, blue, orange, yellow and green; there are three different floral arrangements in this set. The rather scarce mark is "Bavaria", Lion within a shield, "Schumann - Arzberg" in dark blue. This mark was used between 1918 - 1929. The other unknown mark is a triangle with "J I B & W - N Y - Bavaria". There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Lovely.
