Set of 4 Homer Laughlin "Americana Series - On The Mississippi" Sauce Dishes

HLC was founded by brothers, Homer and Shakespeare, in 1873 at East Liverpool, Ohio. In 1934 the company started using "transfer printing" methods to decorate dinnerware. The Americana Series was created for Montgomery Ward and was offered from 1940 until 1956 using special Currier & Ives scenes.

This lovely set of 4 sauce dishes are entitled "On The Mississippi". They measure 5 1/4" across and 1 3/8" in depth. Stamped "On The Mississippi - An American Subject - From Currier & Ives Prints - Made in USA By Homer Laughlin". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; overall age related crazing. Depth of color may vary from piece to piece. There are (2) sets of 4 available for purchase.
