Regency Gold-Tone Wreath Brooch w/Blue Rhinestones & Art Glass Stones - Book Piece

The Regency Novelty Company, New York City, owned by the Polowitz family, produced Regency jewelry from the 1950's through the 1970's. Regency jewelry is beautifully designed and manufactured with excellent materials. Many designs resemble higher-end Weiss designs.

This lovely Regency brooch features gold-tone flowers overlaying bright blue round and marquise rhinestones, round aurora borealis rhinestones and large deep blue art glass cabochons. Many of the stones are held in place with fancy dog-tooth prongs. Rhinestones also decorate the delicate gold flowers. The brooch is pictured in "Costume Jewelry 101" by Julia C. Carroll. It measures 2 1/4" across and has a safety clasp mechanism. Marked "Regency" on an oval cartouche. Near mint condition with loads of sparkle.
