Hand Decorated Royal Blue Glass Hinged Vanity Box w/Three Cherubs or Putti Figures

The round covered vanity box, circa 1890 - 1910 measures 3 1/2" across and 3" in height. Fashioned from royal blue colored glass, the lid and base are connected by a brass hinged collar and catch. The center medallion on the lid, encircled with a gold border, contains a transfer design of three Cherub or Putti figures resting on a white enameled background. The border of the lid is enameled with a ribbon of heavy gold floral, buds and leaves outlined in white. This floral decoration is continued on the front of the base as well as a gold ring encircling the bottom edge. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; the hinge and catch are tight; enameling, gold and transfer are in very good to excellent condition. Beautiful.
