Asia Minor - Black Onyx and Freshwater Pearl Necklace

Asia Minor - a cultural cross-roads for the ancient world, the cities of Asia Minor gave us much in terms of art, philosophy, history and science. Another in the Asia Minor series, this necklace evokes the sophistication of that time and place...shiny smooth black onyx stones progress toward a central bridge of belly-drilled freshwater coin pearls. Unusual in their orientation, these pearls are a luminous, dark bronze colour (permanently coloured with vegetable dye, these pearls will not fade over time). Bright 22 karat gold over sterling silver granulated elements complete the meeting of East and West, from the granulated cups holding the pearls to the heavy rope-textured toggle clasp finishing the necklace. Incredibly elegant and versatile, this necklace is both ancient and contemporary in its design.

The necklace measures 20.75" in length and ships in a gift box.
