Iris Aeripes - Tourmaline and 18 Karat Gold Necklace

Swift-Footed Iris....daughter of Thaumas, an ocean god, and Elektra, a cloud nymph, Iris was both the goddess of the rainbow and the messenger of the gods...sometimes also referred to as storm-footed, Iris had golden wings and polychrome robes that lit up whatever space she fleetingly inhabited. This necklace is like a rainbow that arches from cloud to earth. A slender stream of naturally hued pink tourmaline rondelles flows toward the central bridge of multi-hued tourmaline. There, faceted cushions of the most delicious rubelite are flanked by triads of tourmaline briolettes that range in colour from pale pink to chrome green. Like Iris with her golden wings, the tourmaline gemstones are interspersed with granulated discs of 18 karat gold, and the necklace finishes with an S-clasp of 18 karat gold, as well as an 18 karat gold extension chain from which hangs a perfect forest green tourmaline teardrop.

This necklace measures from 16" to 17" and ships in a gift box.
