Metis - Aquamarine Gemstone and Baroque Freshwater Pearl Necklace

Metis - the Greek goddess and personification of wisdom, she was the daughter of Oceanus and Tethys, first wife to Zeus and mother of Athena....this necklace, cool and precise in form and element, evokes her nature. Faceted rondelles of pale, sparkling aquamarine are interspersed with bright sterling silver granulated discs to provide the chain. The centre of the necklace comprises seven huge (8x12 average), lustrous and smooth-skinned baroque freshwater pearls. Between these sit dyads of discs and large (6x10mm) light-filled and clear aquamarine teardrops. Together, the pearls and aquamarine inspire precision of thought and serenity of spirit.

The necklace, which finishes with an open-work sterling silver filigree pearl clasp, measures 16.5" in length and ships in a gift box.
