This classic novel, by Alexandre Dumas, Fils was produced in London for the Limited Editions Club in 1937 by the Curwen Press. The book was designed by Oliver Simon and illustrated with 12 water-color paintings by Marie Laurencin. The introduction is by Edmund Gosse.
The book is in very good condition, with only toning to the spine, and a few fly specks on the covers. The binding is tight. The top edge is gilded. It is 11" x 8-3/4". The gilt camellia on the front and the gilt title on the spine are in good condition. There is no dust jacket.
Only fifteen hundred copies were printed. This copy is number 542. It is signed by the illustrator, Laurencin.
