This magnificent and rare teapot would be the crowning glory for either a Herend porcelain collector or a teapot collector. It is about 14-1/2" long and 7-1/2" high. It weighs over 4-1/2 pounds.
It is in perfect condition (a description I rarely use!). It dates c. 1950.
The pattern is Herend's "Fruits and Flowers" with the body being decorated with beautifully painted sprays. The yellow rose finial on top is 3 dimensional.
This is Herend's largest teapot. I have read that it holds 20 cups.
The only marks are the base are: "Herend Hungary" printed in blue, "HEREND" impressed, and the shape number "600" impressed.
This teapot is a consignment, and the owner prefers that I not ship it Internationally.
