Rare C.J. Mason Bone China Teapot, Blue, Red & Gilt, Chinoiserie, Antique c1835
Although unsigned, this teapot shape is shown on plate 2042, page 341 of "An Anthology of British Teapots" by Miller & Berthoud. They call it a "distinctive shape" and identify it as Mason's bone china, c. 1835-40.
It can also be seen on the web at the terrific Norfolk Museums & Archeology Service website. They date it c. 1830, and identify it as by C.J. Mason.
The condition of the teapot is excellent. There is only a tiny nick at the end of the spout. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
The condition of the lid is only fair. There are no cracks to the lid. There are small chips to the edge of the lid. The knop or finial of the lid is missing, and there is damage to the leaves below the missing knop. The knop would have been a strawberry or an acorn...I've seen both on this type of teapot.
