This pretty plate features a pink braided rope design with gilding on a black background, and a blue main border.
The plate is impressed MINTON, and with the Minton date mark for 1865. There is also an indecipherable pattern number, but it is either an "A 6890", or an "H 6890", as we have other 8 matching plates for sale on Ruby Lane with those numbers.
The plate is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a grey line mark under the glaze in the white center at about 6:00. It is not a crack nor a scratch. There is varying wear to the gilding, and some utensil marks. The plate rings when tapped.
The plate is 10-3/8" in diameter. It weighs almost 1-1/2 pounds.
