These pretty plates feature a pink braided rope design with gilding on a black background, and a blue main border. These plates would look spectacular on display or on your dining table. The price shown is for the set of 8 plates.
The plates are marked with Godden's mark 2706, impressed MINTON. The set of 8 has 2 different Minton date marks: some with the date mark for 1862, and some with the date mark for 1865. There are also 2 pattern numbers, some are painted with an "A6890", and some with what seems to be an "H 6890".
All 8 plates are in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is varying wear to the gilding of the edges, and some utensil marks (pretty great, considering that these plates date from the US Civil War Era). Each plate rings when tapped.
The plates are 10-3/8" in diameter. Each weighs almost 1-1/2 pounds. I will ship them in 3 separate boxes for safety. Shipping & insurance to the lower 48 states will be $40. The set is not available for international sale.
I also have for sale a matching 9th plate. It has a small dark mark in the white center of the plate.
