Chinese Silver Filigree and Pre Ban Ivory Brooch
This wonderful brooch is made of pre ban Ivory and probably made in China. It is carved and painted a beautiful scene of birds and a birds nest. Set in a goldwashed silver filigree(marked silver) setting it is very beautiful. The colors have faded somewhat but they are still very well done. The hash marks (or schreger lines) are hard to see in the picture, but are there. The brooch measures 1-3/4" x 1-1/4" and is in very good condition.
