Vulcanite Mourning Brooch
This great vintage brooch is made of vulcanite. A hardened rubber that has been polished to a high gloss. It is very light weight. The front has been hand carved with a floral design. The brooch is in exceptional condition! Being from the late 1880's I would have expected some wear. It was obviously a loved piece. It measures 1-3/4" x 1".
