7 Golden State 7 1/2" Southern Pacific Lines Railroad China Bowls
Price is for seven (7) bowls. This is extremely rare to find so many of this pattern still together.
All are in very good condition and date to 1927. They are white vitrified china bowls decorated with Oranges and state "Golden State". Each has a green band circling the top and outlined in beautiful orange blossoms. These are perfect for the collector of California oranges, railroad china or just beautiful bowls sturdy enough to last forever. Six bowls state on the back "Bauscher China, Arthur Schuller and Son Chicago Made Expressly for Southern Pacific Lines Dining Car Service 1927". These show some wear but very little if any utensil wear (see photos).
The 7th bowl states on the back "O.P.C.O. Syracuse China 3-J Made Expressly for Southern Pacific Dining Car Service by Onondaga Pottery Co. Syracuse, N.Y. This bowl is also in great condition & dates to 1929.
All bowls measure 7 1/2" diameter and stand approximately 1 1/2" tall.
Rock Island Railroad also used a pattern that is nearly identical to this one.
