This is my kind of vintage cook book that never is out of fashion. The Mixer, Hand Mixer and Blender Cookbook, Three Separate and Complete Cookbooks in one, from the Culinary Arts Institute, Melanie De Proft, Director, illustrated by Herbert Lebowitz, published by Spencer Press, Inc., copyright 1954, first edition, 256 pages. Each cook book has a variety of tested recipes for each appliance. Book is in excellent, clean and tight condition with no odors, stains or flaws. The end papers of the book are deeply saturated color photos but the bulk of the book is b&w photos and illustrations in green, orange and gray. The recipe include cakes, cookies appetizers, main dishes, sauces and more: Strawberry Bavarian Cream, Apricot Upside Down Cake, Orange Cupcakes, Frozen Bombe, Lemon Snow, Linzer Torte, Hazelnut Cake, Souffle's, beverages such as :Sloe Gin Fizz, Sling of David... soups and it just keeps on going.... chock full. This book is not just for the cook but for the baker as well.
