This is a wonderful enamel over copper plate with a turned in edge. It has a very painterly or raku look to the finish (which is on the front and bottom.) Back side is signed B. Culp. The plate is in wonderful condition. It measures 8" diameter. The piece has a beauty in it's simplicity. This is not a mid-century piece as the artist was born in 1948. Note: Barbara Culp is a former jewelry designer who later marketed a line of copper enamel dishes and now is more focused on canvas painting. Since her entry into the art world, Culp has exhibited her work at the DeYoung Museum, San Francisco, Ansel Adams Gallery at Yosemite National Park, California, and other venues across the United States
