This purse is in perfect unused condition and has a Picasso flavor to it. It is a large bucket style purse of 100% cotton. The front has a large mola sewn onto it which is very thick and durable. The entire purse is lined and there is an inside zipper compartment. The bag has straps that can be used to wear the purse as a backpack or a shoulder bag. In fact, you could also knot to adjust and hold as a handbag. It measures 15" x 15" x 9". The straps are a 16" drop to the bag. There are drawstrings on each side which can also be tied for extra security. The mola is the most striking thing about the bag. It is orange, black & white on a red background. There are many shapes, circles and cross like motifs on it and stitched extremely fine. It almost has a quilt-like quality to it. I especially love how roomy this bag is.
Note: The mola originated with the tradition of Kuna women (of Panama) painting their bodies with geometrical designs, using available natural materials & colors. Later, these same designs were woven in cotton, and later still, sewn using cloth bought from the European settlers of Panamá
