The Story of Doctor Dolittle, told by Hugh Lofting, illustrated by the author, J. B. Lippincott Co., with an introduction to the tenth printing by Sir Hugh Walpole, Copyright 1920 by Hugh Lofting and 1948 by Josephine Lofting. Dedicated by author "To All Children, children in years and children in heart, I dedicate this story". No jacket, but this hard cover book is in excellent condition, clean and tight and all illustrations are still very bright.Someone wrote a small pencil notation on the title page (see photo) that can easily be erased. Personally, I think the cover alone is worth the price of the book.
