12 Dinner Plates & 3 Serving Platters Chinese Restaurant Ware

There is a total of 12 round dinner plates; all in very good condition & perfect for the Lunar Festival, Valentines Day, or to make any day or meal special. 15 pieces consists of 12 dinner plates & 3 serving platters. One (1) large oval platter, two (2) small oval platters and ten (12) dinner plates. These are large, beautifully stylized vitrified serving platters & plates made with a motif of Asian, bright red longevity motifs interspersed with black key graphics on a white body. These "key" or "meander" patterns are called "Thunder" by the Chinese and indicate abundance. The pattern is called Longevity in the F. S. Louie & Co. 1983 catalogue. The characters in the border pattern is "shou," meaning longevity. The large serving platter measures 9 1/4" x 13". There are 2 small serving platters that measure 7" x 10 1/2". The 12 dinner plates are 9" diameter. The backs of all are marked with logo & states "F.S. Louie & Co., Berkeley, Calif. Sterling China Co., U.S.A.". The dishes are all in excellent, pristine condition. No mars whatsoever. Vitrified china is heavy commercial weight china used in restaurants, railroad dining cars, diners, hotels, etc. Very practical, sturdy and long lasting.
