This is a First Edition, stated First Printing, 1959 cookbook produced by General Foods Kitchens, published by Random House, 436 pages. It is in very good condition. The top cover is a little wobbly but I've priced the book accordingly. The inside is tight, very clean & bright without any markings, foxing or bent pages. There is a former owners address label on the inside front end paper. She also left in two index cards with notes on what pages to find her favorite recipes. I love that on page 293 there is a recipe for "Wedding Cake" and it serves 50, there are recipes for camping outdoors, ex: "Campfire Hash" & so many more vintage recipes that were favorites growing up. One I especially like is the "Orange Shrub" made with lemonade and orange juice. No one even mentions it anymore and it's the perfect summer refresher. This is a great book to read, one to keep for your collection or one to give a new bride or a loved one moving out on their own for the 1st time... it has a little of everything!
