Modern 5 Petal Gonder Flower Vase Pristine!

This vintage modern vase is in perfect condition & is approximately 50 years old. It is from Gonder Ceramic Arts which were in business from 1941 thru 1957. The Gonder family had ties and relationships with the other famous pottery companies in Ohio and in fact, have a wonderfully interesting history. They are y noted for their ceramic glazes. This piece is 4"x8" and is covered with a blue and tan glaze with a sort of pink cast that gives a speckled effect. The style is referred to as "New Deco", but it is definitely a mid century piece. The bottom states clearly "E-3, Gonder, U.S.A." The vase is shaped to be a flower with very large petals front and back. It is sometimes referred to as Dogwood Pattern. The bottom is more clearly marked than what shows in my photo. The price of Gonder Pottery is going up and this piece is still a good investment. Get it now while it is still affordable. The craftsmanship of this vase is superb.
