Such gorgeous colors! The leaves on the graceful, trees are in full autumn splendor in shades of rich coral, warm umber and butterscotch. The foreground grasses are in soft hues of pale yellow, peach and melon while the mid-range banks are done in grass- and moss-green. The tranquil lake is a very pale blue wash with lavender reflections of the distant hills. Please see the closeup photos to appreciate the brushstroke technique used on the leaves - very nice!
The bowl measures 7 1/4" across the pierced handles and is 2" deep. It carries Van Patten's green Mark 47 (M-in-wreath [Morimura Bros.], Hand Painted, Nippon). In excellent condition with no discernible loss of paint and minimal wear to rim - with all the bronze-toned, tiny beads intact. Thanks for stopping by!
