Egyptian Scarab and Turquoise Copper Eternity Necklace

It was created using scarab beads from Egypt that are limestone. By far the most important amulet in ancient Egypt was the scarab. The small object was believed imbued with particular protective powers that warded off evil and provided good things for the owner for this life and also for the next, particularly when sewn to mummy wrappings. This was especially true to provide a safe journey into the afterword. Although scarabs are known from the earliest periods, it is in the 12th dynasty that their use as seals became common.

They are surrounded by Copper round and heishi beads. They are joined by copper ox swivel connectors to Turquoise rondelle beads.

The scarabs are 13mm. This is a generous 48".

This is warm and earthy.
