Tibetan Turquoise and Sunstone Baoule Earrings
They were created using a Tibetan Inlaid bead. It has Turquoise and Sunstone set in the beads. The pattern is the same on both sides of the bead.
These beads are handmade by local artisans in Nepal. They utilize the same techniques that have been handed down through generations.
The bead is connected to a station of faceted Sunstone rondelle beads and a brass Baoule bead.
The Baoule create art in several media, including wooden sculpture, gold and brass casting similar to their Asante ancestors, and mask and figure carvings, which have been greatly influenced by their Senufo and Guro neighbors. The Baoule belong to the Akan peoples who inhabit Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire.
The Tibetan bead is 1". These are 2.25" long.
