Faux Baroque Pearl Bracelet

What an absolutely lovely vintage bracelet this is. Its elegance derives from the directness of its design. It is one of the few where the gold tone metal, rather than being a mere backdrop for the settings, is instead an integral part of the design. The gold tone metal creates not only the links between the six stones but the surround for three of them. The six stones are faux baroque pearl stones, all of which are the same size. Three are surrounded by a circle of gold tone metal and alternating with them, three are not. I mention the size since this bracelet is a perfect example of the Ebbinghaus illusion where same sized objects appear to be different sizes based on the contrast to their surround. Here the encircled ones appear larger. Enough for perception, back to the bracelet. The bracelet measures 7 5/8” in length and 1 1/8” in width and has a fold over clasp. It is a truly lovely work of art, in a style that never becomes dated or passé.
