Mod or Modernist "Snowball" Pendant Necklace

Outrageous and outstanding, this old necklace features a 3 1/16" centerpiece, composed of silvertone metal, upon which sits some sort of rubbery "snowball" in high relief. Profile measurement of pendant is approx. 1 1/16". Snowball is a little off center but my assumption is that it's supposed to be that way. A silvery collar measuring approx. 16-17" around is affixed to the pendant by two lobster-claw clasps. Really striking and really NOT for the faint of heart...It's in excellent vintage condition.
