A nice Early American Pattern Glass Hand or Pennsylvania Hand covered compote. Made by O'Hara Glass Company circa 1880. Both top and bottom have a interesting diamond and plain panels pattern. Stands 11 1/2 inches tall to the top of the hand and bar and is 8 inches across the scalloped edges.
Condition is good for a piece over 100 years old, glass is clear, no cracks or purple tint. Does have as the pictures show, damage to one side of the bar the hand is holding and a chip on the base of the foot. Also has some heat checks, annealing marks or straw marks, what ever you wish to call them, on the scalloped edge, nothing distracting.
Packed shipping weight will be 3 &1/2 lbs.
