Original Abstract Expressionist Painting by American Artist Dean Close
Original painting, mixed media, on board, signed by artist Dean Close. Looks to date around 1960 give or take a few years. Metallic frame with a burlap backing. Painting area measures 7 3/4 by 9 3/4 inches, overall measurement including the frame is 14 1/4 by 16 1/4 inches. Painting is in excellent shape. A label appears on the back of the painting with some biographical information about the artist.
This is a great looking abstract that has a great feel to it. Ready to hang.
Dean Purdy Close,was born in Columbus, Ohio (OH) 1905. He studied with C. M. Duvall. He Exhibited at the Columbus Gallery of Fine Art and Butler Art Institute. He was a member of the Columbus Artists League.
