Anodized Aluminum Spring Necklaces

Adapted from my spring bracelet, several customers kept clamoring for a necklace so here it is. (The earrings came soon thereafter!) This is a stunning necklace that really pops when worn on a black shirt. The necklace measures approx. 21 inches, with approx. 7 1/2 inches of colored springs and glass beads in the middle. The necklace can be made longer by adding jump rings, or shortened by fastening the clasp on a jump ring closer in.

The main reason I decided to make this necklace: a blind woman was staring at the necklace from a distance of about one inch. I didn't understand what she was doing until her husband explained that the loved the texture, and the noise the bracelet made, but she really wanted a necklace. I was so touched that I made the first one for her that very day while she shopped at the craft show.

It continues to be a popular addition to my jewelry line. I also have this necklace in the black/copper/gold/ silver color range.
